Korea China Culture Center held the "Chengdu Art Exhibition and Tourism Briefing" in Seoul

China's Chengdu was brough to Korea to attract Korean tourists. Chengdu City's Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau held a "Cheongdu Tourism Briefing" from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the Art Center Nabi in Jongno-gu, Seoul.


In addition, from November 1st to 4th, a special exhibition of Chinese Chengdu art was held at the Art Center Nabi in Jongno-gu, Seoul. This exhibition and briefing session was planned and sponsored by the Korea-China Cultural Center, hosted by the Chengdu City Cultural Tourism Group, and organized by the Chengdu City Cultural Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau. The Chengdu Tourism Briefing Event was held in the order of first, the introduction of distinguished guests, and second, the greetings given by the director of the Cultural Tourism Bureau (Director of the delegation). Next, the director of the Korea-China Cultural Center, Roh Jae-heon, began the congratulatory speech. This was followed by an explanation of tourism in Chengdu, taking commemorative photos, and luncheon.



Chengdu, a region in China known for being a “land of abundance (天府之國),” is one of the top 10 ancient capitals in China and is famous for its Chinese history and culture. It has been referred to as a beautiful and comfortable park city, cultural city, and panda city. At the exhibition, visitors could appreciate contemporary Chinese artworks, which were reproduced by combining urban elements of Chengdu in China in the form of art. While visitors were appreciating the paintings and calligraphy works of prominent artists in China's Chengdu region, an exhibition official commented on how "each artist has a unique handwriting in their respective art fields, but in this exhibition, all the themes have been tailored to the city of Chengdu."


Ro Jae-hun, President of Korea China Culture Center, said, "We are happy to introduce the beautiful and unique urban culture of Chengdu through this event. We will make efforts to promote private-level exchanges in the cultural and tourism industries of the two countries beyond political Korea-China relations."


"We welcome Koreans visiting Chengdu for tourism, leisure and business, and it will be the best trip to visit Chengdu, which is comfortable park city, a world-famous cultural city, a panda city and has a hospitable and historic culture," said Daangnamu, director of the Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau in Chengdu, China. "Through this, we believe that this exchange activity will deepen the mutual understanding between Seoul and Chengdu and promote tourism, cultural exchange, and cooperation between the two places."
