[EdailyTV Reporter Moon Da-e] "Young leaders of East Asia aimed to create an opportunity to transcend borders through 'liquor.' We will unfold various activities to promote the charm of Asia." (Ro Jae-hun, Presiodent of East Asia Culture Center) On the 13th, the 'Asia Liquor Festival' took place at the Understand Avenue Art Stand Hall in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

With the slogan 'Cheers for Friendship,' this event was held with the idea that the harmony of South Korea, China, and Japan lies in getting to know each other. It was organized by the Asia Leaders Club and the East Asia Culture Center, sponsored by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat for South Korea, China, and Japan (TCS), the China Cultural Center in South Korea, and the Embassy of Japan in South Korea.

Attendees included Ro Jae-hun, President of the East Asia Culture Center, Ou Boqian, Secretary-General of TCS, Jo Cho, Director of the Japanese Embassy Public Relations and Culture Center, and Shim Hyo-kang, Director of the China Cultural Center in South Korea. From the entertainment industry, actors Jung Joon-ho, Kim Sung-ryung, and Girls' Generation's Yuri drew attention.
Representative liquor companies from South Korea, China, and Japan, such as Bohae Brewery, Hwagang Liquor, Yongseong Trading, and Nihonshu Korea, collaborated with Jo Yudong, the chairman of the Korean Specialty Coffee Association, to showcase unique cocktails using traditional liquors such as soju, sake, and baijiu. Modern art exhibitions from the three countries and performances by various artists added meaning to the event.

President Ro Jae-hun emphasized the power of harmony that liquor possesses. He said, "Liquor connects people, people, and culture, serving as a good medium to envision a new future." He mentioned that the event started with the idea of creating a platform for the harmony and exchange of young people from East Asia, including South Korea, China, and Japan, through liquor, going beyond the simple concept of enjoyment.
President Ro stated, "Korean liquor has purity, Japanese liquor has consideration, and Chinese liquor has leisure, each possessing different charms." He emphasized, "The liquors of the three countries have sufficient competitiveness in the global market, and we will strive to promote them further."

Starting as a liquor festival, this event will expand into an Asia Culture Festival in the future. President Ro expressed, "Through this event, we took the first step towards 'One Asia' cultural creation cooperation." He added, "Starting from Korea, we plan to organize various cultural events in Asian countries such as China and Japan, integrating various cultural elements and contributing to discovering and promoting the charm of Asia worldwide."

Meanwhile, the Asia Leaders Club is a youth network composed of global industry leaders, promoting the charm of Asia through various events and campaigns since 2021. The proceeds from this event will be donated to Volunteer Korea.
